Mussie - leader of young people

When he was a young boy, Endebilhat and his father traveled many miles from northern Ethiopia to the CURE Ethiopia pediatric orthopiedic hospital in Addis Ababa seeking treatment for his clubfeet. Before coming to CURE, Endebilhat supported himself by begging and looking for food around his home area.

After being discharged from CURE, while his feet were still in casts, his father left him with a very poor woman who could not even support herself financially. Living in a very bad situation, he eventually finished his medical follow up. But because her income couldn't support them both, the woman asked him to leave.

Without a home, Endebilhat stayed around the CURE hospital in Addis. He slept at night by the gate of the Orthodox church. After meeting with Mesfin Taye, Counseling Director in the Spiritual Ministry department at CURE, Mesfin asked Simret if she could take him in at Trees of Glory. Simret said to Mesfin: “As you are telling me his story my heart is touched. Please bring him.”

Endebilhat started to live at the orphanage. He found Jesus and his life became completely changed. He took discipleship classes and started to serve the Lord in the orphanage. He sings with the other children. Simret changed the Name of Endebilhat to Mussie because she has envisioned him as a leader for the young people growing at the orphanage. Mussie indeed ha became and older brother for the other children at Trees of Glory!
